Disclaimer — Ever Widening Circle

The information on this website came from the author of this site along with various historical books, vital records, genealogy websites, internet sites, other researchers, and family members — all sourced and credited to the best of our knowledge. We do not have the sources behind their information, and we cannot guarantee its accuracy. Genealogy is detective work: records get misspelled, memories fade, and new evidence can change an old conclusion. Use what you find here as a starting point, and verify against original records before treating anything as proven fact.

Standing on the shoulders of many.

Much of what lives here was built on years — decades — of work by others: fellow researchers, family members who shared their records and memories, archivists, librarians, and historians who came before me. I have credited them wherever I can. If your work helped build something here and you want clearer credit — or you spot something of yours I missed — tell me and I will make it right.

As the administrator of this work and the information compiled within, I ask that no editing or copying be made without the express consent of the authors of this website.

I personally exclude dates of birth for living persons for privacy reasons, and throughout this site I add my own personal notes and thoughts.

Research services. My research business provides consulting services to people who want data about specific ancestors and genealogical lines. I gather information from credible sources, analyze my findings, and interpret them for clients. My research is my best professional judgment — it is not legal advice, and it cannot stand as legal proof of lineage for tribal enrollment, probate, or any legal proceeding unless a qualified professional says otherwise.

Affiliate disclosure. Some links on this site — including links to books on Amazon — may be affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. It keeps the lights on and the research going. I only ever recommend things I genuinely use or believe in. (#ad)

Books & products. My books, downloads, and printables are offered as-is. A storybook is a storybook, not a legal document. Digital downloads are for personal use unless the listing says otherwise.

External links. I link out to archives, libraries, museums, shops, and friends’ sites I trust — but I don’t control those sites, and I’m not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.

Comments. You’re welcome to comment kindly. Your words are your own responsibility; I moderate comments and may remove anything unkind, spammy, or off-topic.

Photographs. Family and historical photos appear here with permission or from public and archival sources, credited where credit is due. If you see a photo of yourself or your family and want it removed or credited differently, just use the contact form below and I will take care of it promptly.

Artwork. The little mascots and illustrations around here (Mini-Coni and friends) are original characters created for Ever Widening Circle, made with a mix of human direction and AI-assisted tools. They’re mine — please don’t copy or reuse them without asking.

If you believe something here infringes your copyright, please use the contact form below with the details and I will address it promptly.

No warranties. Everything on this site is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. I do my level best to get things right (“proven and proven again” is my motto), but I can’t promise the site will always be error-free or uninterrupted.

If any part of this page changes, the newest version right here is the one that counts.

This page is my good-faith effort to keep everything above board; it isn’t legal advice. Last updated October 1, 2026.
