Penhawitz Research Book is updated
Along with the Index of individuals in my research – I’m so sorry for all the mix up – this book should MAKE A LOT MORE SENSE – I had lost a lot of my sources and notes in the merging – had to go between files to add it all back~
New edition of all the research books needs to be made!
Just to let everyone know – for some reason my files have been mixed up – after reviewing the books – I’ve caught the errors – just on a few individuals (I believe it is when I merged 3 trees a couple of weeks ago) I’ve had to disconnect and reconnect several people in the Long Island Native Americans- I now see why all the confusion~ I will be making new ones and putting it in my research books area- Please disregard the other one and wait for this newer copy (see date) – Penhawitz is in the works right now – Takes a very long time to make these
I do apologize – I’m just gonna not merge any more of the trees (have several) – has caused me 4 days of work to correct the mistakes~
I do back up before merging – just takes so long to go in between files to fix – but done I believe~ Only effected a few –
You will see that lines are changed and different Mothers on some – Like Checkachoggin – Tackapausha went by many names Antinome, Whitneymen & One Eye, Meantinnemen, Tachpausan, Tackpouska, Tackpowsha, Tackapaushawas ( I had 3 different individuals Tackapousha, Meantinnemen and Antinome which are one in the same so had to merge all three) he was also married to Susacaneman’s Sister – I had his wife wrong – Source: Robert Grumet in his book First Manhattans a history of the Indians of Greater New York has on page 12 a diagram of lineages he has Tackapousha married to Susacaneman’s Sister so going with his reference – only proof I have at this moment~
I have to make ALL NEW books – so much work has been done on all of them – all of them needs changed – Will work on them this weekend~
