Update on Grandbaby~

KIKI DOESN’T need anymore surgeries!! She looks good and shouldn’t have any scarring – it hurt her to take the bandages off but they did it without having to put her under~ They are gonna give Kiki a couple of hours and she will get to come home! Thank you for all the prayers and love they have been answered and felt~

Grandbaby in hospital~

My granddaughter Kiki (3 yrs old) has been in the hospital (burn unit) she was playing with her stuffed bunny and throwing it up in the air – it landed in a big pan of boiling water for spaghetti on Wednesday – she pulled it out by its feet and the hot water ran down her right side from chest to knee – 14% of her body was burned – she had donor grafting on Friday last and will have another surgery on Monday to see if the donor skin took and if her body is producing new skin – if it does then she gets to come home – if not they will do skin grafting on her body with her own skin and will have to stay another week in the hospital~ Please keep us in your prayers~

Updated my research books section~

I’ve been updating and rearranging this blog~

I wanted to note all the new things I’ve added in my Research Books Section

1. I’ve added an Individual List of all I have research totaling 19,603 people in the past 19 years.

2.  I’ve added the Pensawitts Research Book – Which I cross several lines in this book~

3. I’ve added my notes and lineage to Pensawitts – which is a reference for the book in #2

I have been ask to speak at the University of Connecticut~

I have also been asked to speak with Timothy H. Ives, Ph.D. and his class in April and possibly in Spring – he is with the Department of Anthropology at the University of Connecticut – I’m so excited – have to add what he emailed me:
“Any direction you would want to steer things in is good. But I think one fascinating thing to include are your experiences and views on the use of modern technology to reconnect with other people of native descent. The academic “literature” hasn’t really caught up to speed on this topic and you seem to be on the cutting edge.” (taken from Tim Ives email to me 1/4/12)

I have confirmed a date of April 19th to speak (either in person or Skype) at the University of Connecticut about my research~
I have brought Sheryl Robinson on board to help me with the academics of it all – she has taught classes on several things and has worked for the different areas of the school system – her husband Butch Robinson is of my direct Barber cousin Descendant – they have joined me in several of these trips/along with adding their family research and work – I have faith that between her and I we can put a great presentation together~ I’m really excited about this~ I believe I would like to do this in person so Sheryl and I are trying to work it into our schedules – would be a 2 night thingy – all in all just fly in for the class~

Updated Books I Own~

I’ve updated my book collection – ordered a few more Saturday – Main list 52-57 are new and on Herbal List 8-10 are new~ Should be here by 10th~ My research is leading me to the early 1700’s and the King Philips War now – which I just visited the Archaeology dig as the guest of Kevin McBride whom has been my main Archaeologist in the Native American Pequot & King Philips war sites – he has also allowed Veronica Sue Hawkins my cousin and her family to join me on visiting these digs – along with taking us back to his personal lab and view all they collected (Mainly Pequot War – the King Philips site was just recently found)
I’ve taken videos and photo of these visits (can be viewed in my video page (videos open in YouTube) and photo albums (Facebook Group Barkhamsted Lighthouse Village)
