To All Whom it May Concern: This is to certify that: Allen Alven CC6-84779, A Member of the Civilian Conservation Corps, Who was enrolled: May 24, 1934 at: Camp Mackinac S-53 (Mich) is Hereby Discharged Therefrom, by reason of: To accept employment Said: Allen Alven was born in: Long Lake in State of Michigan When enrolled he was: 19 years of age and by occupation: a Woodsman he had: Blue Eyes, Lt Brown Hair, Ruddy Complexion and was 5 ft 7 In in height, His color was white Given Under my hand at: Camp Trout Lake F-37 This 1st day of January 1935 By: R. D. Robison, 1st Lt., Air-Res Commanding

Awards: Presidential Award signed by Harry Truman

Note: From Camp Mackinac S-53. He left there and went to the Camp Trout Lake F-37 from June 16, 1935- January1, 1936.

The Project Superintendent Mr. Snyder at Camp Trout Lake “Said that Alvin Allen was a workman employed as Laborer,  a very conscientious and Willing worker of excellent ability. “

He received an Honorable discharge January 1, 1936 from Camp Trout Lake

Note 2: He was a Farmer Feb 1936 -April 1945.  He had a 40 acre Farm where he planted, Cultivated and harvested such crops as corn, potatoes and oats – He used and maintained and repaired Farm Machinery – Cared for and bred livestock and poultry.

1. He was in the Army from April 26, 1945 to Dec 7, 1945

Training:

1. He went to Ft Sheridan, Illinois April 26, 1945 – May 14, 1945.

2. He went to School at Camp Robinson in Arkansas from May 14, 1945 -Sept 8, 1945.

3. Also stationed at Camp Swift, Texas where he received an honorable discharge in from the Army in Dec. 7, 1945.
